Bone scan - pain in both legs - bronchial carcinoma Middle aged male patient. Pain in both legs for 1 month. Tc99m-HDP 720MBq. Whole body scan 9cm/min 4.5h post injection. LEHR collimator. AP and PA projections with automated body contouring and continuous scan. Whole body images in normal greyscale. Images are slightly packed. The patient has linear periostical activity in legs and arms typical for hypertrophic osteoarthropathy. The syndrome is characterised by clubbing of fingers (a bulbous deformity of digit tips) and toes and painful joints. Majority of the patients have bronchial carcinoma as was the case with this patient.
