Renal function - post extracorporeal shock-wave lithotripsy for obstructive uropathy. Renography with Tc-MAG3, patient in sitting position. Furosemide administration i.v. at 7 min. In the post-ESWL (extracorporeal shock-wave lithotripsy) study, the obstruction of the left kidney has disappeared. The pelvis is still dilated but the size of the kidney has normalized compared to the contralateral side. The relative parenchymal function (44%) is nearly within normal range (45%-55%) as is the case also with MTT (4.4 min, posture dependent reference value <4 min). Time for peak activity is slightly lengthened to 6.3 min because of the dilated pelvis. Furosemide boosted outflow efficiency reaches 92%. Conclusion: A good treatment response without obstruction.
